The Hermit is also known as The Monk. This card symbolises solitude, withdrawal and self-reflection. This card stands for an introvert phase of life. You shield yourself from external influences in order to get closer to yourself. This card represents two extremes: the depths of experience and the heights of insight.
Many people unjustly see The Hermit as a 'bad' card. They think this card is a harbinger of loneliness and abandonment. Introspection, in this case, leads to insight. To knowing that what other people think is not important. And to realising, that what YOU feel is the deciding factor when making decisions.
